Financial Controller – Qualified Accountant

A vacancy has arisen for a Financial Controller within our group finance team. This will be a senior role reporting to the Group Finance Director. You will oversee the financial control of our social house building business, manage the team in that business, prepare accounts and reports, and contribute and support overall group finance objectives. This role is suited to someone who is ready to take a first step up to Financial Control or an existing Financial Controller seeking a new opportunity in a larger organisation.

What you will need to succeed:

  • A professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience in a commercial environment 
  • Advanced spreadsheeting skills, where identifying, creating, modelling complex and robust forecasts and scenarios is essential
  • Be passionate about making a contribution to business success, and evidence of being proactive in driving change to support business improvements, efficiencies and innovations
  • Leadership skills and experience of managing people would be desirable
